The trial match scheduled on the 6th of February 2010 between Broadmeadow Magic and the Bonnyrigg White eagles concluded a 1-1 draw. Thank you to all supporters who attended the day and made it such a great success especially those sticking around from the previous matches. A a special thank you to Bonnyrigg for the comradeship shared on the day and patronizing our sponsor the Duke of Wellington Hotel, we look forward to reciprocating next season.

The trial match scheduled on the 30th of January 2010 between Broadmeadow Magic and Marconi Stallions FC concluded 2 goals to 1 in Marconi's favor. Thank you to all supporters who came to the game and thank you Marconi for the good sport on the day and traveling up from Sydney.

Magic Vs Bonnyrigg This Saturday

This Saturday the 7th of February NSW Premier League team Bonnyrigg White Eagles will be making the trip up the F3 to play Broadmeadow Magic at Wanderers Oval. Reserve Grade will kick off at 3:00pm and First Grade will follow at 5:00pm. Before these games an exhibition match between a Broadmeadow Magic Over35's Select Team and the Newcastle Suns FC will Kick off at 1:30pm. After the final match hospitality will continue at the Duke of Wellington Hotel New Lambton. We urge all supporters get to the game and wish all teams participating an enjoyable weekend.

Magic Vs Marconi This Saturday

This Saturday 30th of January Broadmeadow Magic will host a trial match versus NSW Premier League team Marconi Stallions. First grade kick off is at 4pm. This marks the first competitive trial match for Broadmeadow Magic for season 2010, so get to Wanderers and see the boys slugging it out for their respective position. After the match hospitality will continue at the Duke of Wellington Hotel New Lambton. We urge all supporters to get to the game, and wish both teams have an enjoyable weekend.

GROUND UPGRADE- Irrigation

Broadmeadow Magic is proud to announce that works on the main field are about to commence involving the installation of a fully automatic watering system. The system will allow us to water the entire field all year round courtesy of our 60,000L water tank capacity. The system is expected to be installed prior to Christmas. Once it is fully operational it will greatly assist in greening the surface over the hot summer months, rejuvenating the surface after the works and subsequent top soils. This project will reaffirm Wanderers Oval as the premier local football facility in the Hunter Region during the regular season and beyond.

Thank you to all committee members and volunteers who have contributed their time in securing this project and participated in its construction. Thank you also to the Department of Environment and Climate Change NSW

2010 UPDATE

Broadmeadow Magic Football Club would like to invite all current and new players to the club for season 2010. Training officially starts Monday 11th January 2010 at Wanderers Oval, Broadmeadow. Players are expected to arrive 15 min prior to the start of training and must contact the coaching staff if they are unable to attend (contact numbers on training schedule). Players are also required to have both boots and joggers at all sessions.

Well done to all the lads who attended the End Of Season Trip to Melbourne a few weeks ago. We all had a great time, at the races, at the AFL, at the Casino, and out and about. Unfortunately our horse Vigour was exactly not the adjective of itself. Special thanks go to Tom, Chappy and Piddo for their organizing.
