Pete's Clipboard Part 6...
Good Morning, Good Day or Good Evening
A difficult task
awaited us for our Round 5 Clash against the South Cardiff
Gunners. On preparing for this
one there was much talk about the importance of being prepared for a
fight. The result, a fight it
was.
We couldn’t have
started this one much better skipping away to a 2 goal lead after 10
minutes.
However as we know
Southy are never out of any game and not surprisingly they came back into the
match and had the better of the 1st period bringing the score line
back to 2-1.
The feeling at half
time was that we were not at our best however we had so much more football to
offer accompanied by the much needed intensity required to also win the
battle. I am happy to report
that we feel the response was positive which saw us run away with the
2nd half and the game as eventual winners
5-1.
Goals scorers were
Simon Mooney with a brace, Brad Waters, Ben Higgins and Alex
Palozzi.
Well done lads,
continue to work hard and I am sure we can improve
again.
