Pete's Clipboard Part 7

Good Morning Good Day or Good Evening...

Round 7 saw us head down the highway to Cahill Oval for a top of the table clash with Valentine Phoenix. Having played each other only a couple of weeks earlier it seemed a little strange heading into this one.

Our preparation was a little disrupted with weather conditions and also the fact that we hadn’t played the week before. However we started brightly with a couple of early chances going our way however we were unable to capitalize. We found ourselves one nil down after 15 minutes when Phoenix managed to get in behind and slot home a one goal advantage.

The second half saw the game continue along the same trends and ended with Phoenix taking the points. I believe we were a little flat for this encounter and a look around the dressing shed on full time was a look of major disappointment. The guys know that they are capable of much more and I am sure this will be on show against the Edgeworth Eagles next week.
